During this rapid surge, many people chased shorts and got trapped. Panicking, they kept adding to their positions and stubbornly holding on, piling on ever more pressure.
The market never moves according to people’s expectations. Bullish momentum has already played out, and stubbornly holding countertrend positions will only increase the risk.
Don’t keep hoping the market will pull back immediately and help you break even. First, let go of the fixation on having to make your money back.
Each rebound after a sharp run-up is a window to reduce your position. Prioritize cutting your exposure, an

$BTC Will Bitcoin reach $80,000? But there’s a chance

📊 𝗕𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝘀 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗮 𝗠𝗶𝗱𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻: 𝗜𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗗𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁?
Imagine watching Bitcoin approach another US midterm election. If history is your guide, you might expect another difficult period for the market. In 2014, 2018 and 2022, Bitcoin entered election day below its 200-day moving average. But in November 2026, something unexpected happened: Bitcoin arrived on the other side of that historical pattern.
🔍 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲?
The US midterm elections took place on November 3, 2026. Around election day, Bitcoin was trading near $77,000, approximately 5.2% above its 200-day moving average of $73,169.
Compare that with previous midterm elections:
• 2014: BTC traded approximately 35% below its 200-day average.
• 2018: BTC was approximately 9% below the average.
• 2022: BTC was approximately 22% below the average.
• 2026: BTC entered election day approximately 5.2% above it.
This is an important difference. The 200-day moving average helps investors understand the broader price direction. Trading above it generally indicates a stronger long-term market structure, although it does not guarantee further gains.
📈 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗗𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗹𝗱 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗪𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿?
There is another interesting development.
During the previous three midterm cycles, Bitcoin reached its major market bottom after the election:
• 2014: January 2015, approximately 71 days later.
• 2018: December 2018, approximately 39 days later.
• 2022: November 2022, approximately 13 days later.
However, the 2026 cycle followed a different timeline. Bitcoin reached a low near $57,850 on July 1, approximately 125 days before the November election.
By October 22, it had recovered to around $81,455, representing an increase of roughly 40% from that July low.
This suggests that the market may have completed an important part of its correction earlier than in previous cycles.
💡 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜𝘀 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲?
Bitcoin's market structure is not the same as it was in 2014 or 2018.
Institutional participation, spot Bitcoin ETFs and changing market liquidity have created a different investment environment.
The introduction of spot Bitcoin ETFs has also provided traditional investors with another way to gain exposure to BTC.
Meanwhile, the 2024 Bitcoin halving and broader economic conditions remain important factors influencing supply, demand and investor confidence.
However, it would be incorrect to claim that US elections alone determine Bitcoin's direction. Previous market bottoms also coincided with major crypto-specific events, including the Mt. Gox collapse, the Bitcoin Cash dispute and the FTX crisis.
⚠️ 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻?
Absolutely possible.
Trading above the 200-day average is encouraging, but one indicator cannot confirm a new bull market.
Investors should watch three important developments:
TREND STRENGTH: CAN BTC MAINTAIN ITS POSITION ABOVE THE 200-DAY AVERAGE?
TRADING VOLUME: IS BUYING ACTIVITY SUPPORTING THE RECOVERY?
MARKET STRUCTURE: CAN BITCOIN CONTINUE FORMING HIGHER HIGHS AND HIGHER LOWS?
A sustained recovery would strengthen the bullish argument. Losing important support and experiencing renewed selling pressure could bring the bearish outlook back into focus.
🎯 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗟𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻?
The most interesting part of 2026 is not simply that Bitcoin has moved above its 200-day average. It is that two historical observations have changed: the market bottom arrived before the midterm election, and BTC entered election day above its long-term trend indicator.
Three previous cycles provide an interesting historical comparison, not a guaranteed prediction. The coming months will help determine whether this recovery has lasting strength.
For market participants, patience, sensible position sizing and careful risk management remain essential. Crypto markets are unpredictable, and this analysis is not financial advice.

The market caught its breath just ahead of the U.S. midterm elections. Riskier tech stocks, which had been sold off for days, saw renewed buying interest. The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index rose 2.6%, snapping a three-day losing streak.
There was a rotation at play within this movement. While Apple—often viewed as a "safe" tech play—fell 1.9% following a warning that memory costs would squeeze margins during the holiday quarter, chipmakers took center stage. Nvidia climbed 2.3% after a four-day slide, moving back toward the $5 trillion market cap threshold. Ahead of its earnings report, AMD

🤖 AI-era hackers: Crypto isn’t the only thing at risk
CZ warns that AI is helping hackers increase the speed and scale of their attacks. If even crypto exchanges can be breached, banks and other critical systems can hardly stay out of the line of fire.
There have already been some notable incidents:
• 🇫🇷 Crédit Mutuel Arkéa: More than $133 million was stolen from multiple accounts on crypto exchanges at the French bank. The funds were converted into USDC and USDT, then moved on the blockchain.
• 🇸🇪 ICA supermarkets: On November 2, hackers tampered with refrigeration systems at several sup

But when it pumps, those same people celebrate and forget everything.

Bitcoin Midterm Pressure, Chart Structure and the Next 7 Days: Has the Bearish Pattern Really Broken?
Bitcoin is trading around $76,800 at the start of this trading day, after a week that started near $81,900 and fell to a 7-day low of about $76,387 on November 3, the day of the U.S. midterm elections. The headline many traders are repeating is that Bitcoin has broken its old midterm bearish pattern. Based on the price data, that claim is premature. What the chart shows is a market that has held above its long-term trend support but has
