Launched in March 2026, the program provides a structured framework for participants to collaborate with Mastercard on product development, infrastructure, and commercial use cases that connect blockchain capabilities with Mastercard's global payments network. Priority areas of the program include cross-border payments, stablecoin-based payment rails, fiat-to-digital asset on- and off-ramp solutions, and card products that enable the use of digital assets for everyday transactions.
The launch of the Crypto Partner Program reflects a broader shift toward integrating digital assets into mainstream payment infrastructure. Use cases such as cross-border remittances, B2B transfers, payouts, and settlement are gaining traction among banks, fintechs, and payment networks, as regulatory frameworks globally continue to evolve. For licensed operators, collaboration with established payment networks provides a pathway to align regulated digital asset services with the infrastructure that supports everyday commerce.
