Gate Supports Shardeum (SHM) Token Split

According to official announcement from the Shardeum (SHM) team, the Shardeum (SHM) token will split into a new one at a ratio of 1 (old token) : 240 (new token). Gate will support this split and will provide token swap services for users. User’s SHM tokens on Gate will be automatically swapped, no further action is needed on your part.

Gate will take the following steps:

1. By 08:00 (UTC) on October 27, 2025, Gate will disable new margin loans and crypto loans for Shardeum (SHM)
2. At 02:00 UTC, on October 28, 2025, Gate will suspend the deposit, withdrawal, and trading services for SHM, including the SHM_USDT spot trading, grid trading, Simple Earn, and margin trading.
3. For users with active quantitative trading strategies involving SHM, please adjust strategies in advance. All active strategies will be forcibly terminated before 02:00 UTC, on October 28, 2025.
4. For users holding SHM in Simple Earn, please manually redeem your assets in advance, or they will be automatically redeemed before 02:00 UTC on October 28, 2025.
5. For users with outstanding Shardeum (SHM) margin loans, please repay your loans in advance. Otherwise, the loans will be automatically settled by 02:00 UTC on October 28, 2025.
6. Shardeum (SHM) Token Type: Mainnet

Please note that the token total supply will change from 249,000,000 to 59,760,000,000 after this split. The price of Shardeum (SHM) will be 1/240 times that of the original token without considering other factors. Gate will no longer support the old SHM tokens. The listing time for new SHM will be announced separately after Gate completes the listing review.
