As mentioned earlier, the DOT 100X split will take place on August 21st, 2020. We will automatically conduct the split for our users; here are the details for the upcoming split:
- DOT （old） Spot, Margin, and Perpetual Contract Trading will be suspended from 11:00 AM GMT, August 21st, 2020 until around 12:00 PM GMT, August 21st, 2020 and all related orders will be cancelled during this time span with the assets back to their original accounts. Users who have borrowed DOT (old) via Margin Trading must have the amount paid back in advance or a forced position liquidation might occur.
- Perpetual Contract Trading will be suspended from 11:00 AM GMT, August 21st, 2020 until around 12:00 PM GMT, August 21st, 2020; users should close their positions in advance, or a forced position liquidation might occur.
- Borrow & Lending orders will not be affected, with the account amount counted in the DOT (old) Spot.
- DOT (old) deposits and withdrawals will be suspended during the split.
- DOT (old) Spot, Margin, and Perpetual Contract Trading will be suspended and all orders will be cancelled before the split.
- New DOT amount in Gate users’ Spot account will be 100X larger than the previous balance.
- New DOT trading is expected to be enabled after 12:00 PM GMT, August 21st, 2020. For Spot, a call auction will be adopted. For Perpetual Contract, it will open once the market has stabilized.
