Gate Layer Mainnet Upgrade v2.0.1

Gate Layer has released mainnet node version v2.0.1, with the official upgrade time set at 15:00 (UTC) on November 5, 2026. This is a mandatory upgrade. All node operators must complete the upgrade as soon as possible.

Changelog

This update fixes an iterator boundary issue in Reth’s incremental trie computation, preventing incorrect state root calculations in certain scenarios and improving on-chain state consistency and operational stability.

Scope of Impact:

The state root calculation logic of execution-layer nodes. This applies to all node roles.

Upgrade Requirements:

All node operators must update to the v2.0.1 binary and restart following their standard procedure. No additional migration or data processing is required.

Compatibility:

This update does not change any external interfaces, RPC behavior, or data formats. It is solely a consistency fix to internal calculation logic.

How to Upgrade

1. Download gatelayer-reth from the v2.0.1 release.

2. Replace the gatelayer-reth program currently used by your node and restart the node.

No other action is required. gatelayer-node and the configuration files remain unchanged.
