Gate officially launches Stock Event Contracts , initially listing four underlying assets: MU, SNDK, SKHYNIX, and Unitree Robotics, while opening 5-minute and 15-minute short-term bullish/bearish trading markets.
As the first trading platform to support stock Event Contracts, Gate Event Contracts now cover both crypto assets and traditional stocks. Crypto assets include BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, DOGE, HYPE, and BNB, while stock assets include MU, SNDK, SKHYNIX, and Unitree Robotics. This product offers no leverage and requires no margin. Users only need to predict an asset's short-term price direction to trade, making it easier to get started.
Stock Event Contracts are now available on Web. To trade Stock Event Contracts on the App, please update to v8.36.0 or later.
I. What Are Event Contracts?
Event Contracts are a trading product centered on predicting price direction. Simply determine whether the underlying asset's price will rise or fall over a future period, such as 5 or 15 minutes, select Bullish or Bearish, enter your amount, and submit the order to trade.
Example: For the MU 5-minute market from 14:10–14:15 (UTC), select Bullish if you expect the Settlement Price at 14:15 to be higher than the benchmark price at 14:10; otherwise, select Bearish. The system automatically settles when the period ends. Positions can be closed early, with Take-Profit (TP) and Stop-Loss (SL) settings available.

III. Stock Underlying Trading Hours
Trading hours for stock Event Contracts generally align with the trading hours of the underlying market for each asset. Only fixed periods on business days are open for trading (see details below), and U.S. stock assets currently also support intraday and after-hours trading. Markets are closed outside business hours on business days, on holidays, and on weekends. Orders cannot be placed while markets are closed, and the page will display a market closure notice and the next available trading time.
