Gate has officially launched its Unified USD Order Book, integrating USD, USDC, USD1, RLUSD, and other USD-denominated quote assets into a unified USD spot trading market. By sharing the same order book depth, liquidity from different USD-denominated quote assets can be consolidated, helping enhance market depth and liquidity while improving execution efficiency. Users can access the Unified USD Order Book by upgrading the Gate App to version 8.35 or above, or visit via web access.
Taking the BTC/USD market as an example, users can select supported quote assets such as USD, USDC, USD1, or RLUSD based on their available assets when placing an order. Orders submitted using different quote assets will enter the same BTC/USD order book for matching, while prices and order depth are displayed uniformly in USD. Even when buyers and sellers choose different quote assets, the system can match their orders within the same market, with asset conversion, clearing and settlement handled automatically, eliminating the need for users to convert assets manually.
In actual trading, users only need to select their preferred quote asset in the order panel and submit the order. The system will deduct funds in the selected asset, while relevant amounts in account balances, orders, and trade records will be displayed in the corresponding asset. Trading pair names and price units are uniformly displayed in the XXX/USD format. Available quote assets may vary by region, account, or trading pair, and additional stablecoins pegged 1:1 to the US dollar may be supported in the future. The current feature supports spot trading only and does not support isolated or cross-margin spot trading. Users who wish to trade with leverage can access the corresponding margin markets.
Compared with a model where different stablecoins are paired with separate quote markets, the Unified USD Order Book brings multiple USD-denominated assets into a single market, allowing users to view consolidated order depth and market data without choosing between multiple closely related quote markets. For trading platforms, this model also helps optimize liquidity allocation and establish a more unified market foundation for trading across different USD-denominated assets.
As stablecoins continue to play a growing role in digital asset trading and settlement, greater market coordination among USD-denominated stablecoins is becoming an important direction for exchanges seeking to enhance their USD asset services. By bringing multiple USD-denominated quote assets into a unified matching market, Gate improves to improve USD asset trading efficiency through optimized liquidity allocation and trading mechanisms, while providing additional infrastructure support for the continued expansion of the USD ecosystem.
