Gate Event Contracts: New SOL and XRP Assets Now Available Across Multiple Short-Term Timeframes

Gate has expanded its Event Contracts lineup again with the launch of SOL and XRP price-direction markets, now open across all short timeframes: 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 1 hour, and 4 hours. Event Contracts carry no leverage and no margin, so you only need to predict whether a coin will rise or fall in the short term, which keeps the barrier to entry low.

I. What Are Event Contracts?

Event Contracts are a trading product centered on a single call: price direction. To take part, decide whether the underlying asset's price will rise or fall over an upcoming period, such as the next 5 or 15 minutes, select Bullish or Bearish, enter your amount, and submit the order.

Example: for the SOL 5-minute contract (22:10–22:15), select Bullish if you expect the settlement price at 22:15 to be higher than the 22:10 reference price, and Bearish if you expect it to be lower. The system settles automatically at the end of the period, and you can also close your position early to take profit or cut losses.

II. New Assets and Timeframes

Supported timeframes: 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 1 hour, and 4 hours

Event Contracts currently support BTC, ETH, SOL, and XRP. Gate will continue to add more assets and timeframes.

1. Open the Gate App or log in to the Gate website

2. Go to the [Futures] section

3. Switch to [Event Contracts] to start trading
