Gate has officially launched Korean stock trading services, further expanding its global market coverage. Users can now directly use USDT to trade stocks listed on the Korea Exchange (KRX), without opening a traditional Korean brokerage account or exchanging Korean won. Following this launch, Korean stocks will share the same unified stock account system and trading infrastructure as U.S. and Hong Kong stocks, allowing users to buy and sell securities, manage holdings, track profit and loss, and review transaction records on a single platform, enabling one-stop allocation and management of digital assets and global securities.
In the initial phase, Gate will support trading of the top 1,000 KRX-listed stocks by market capitalization, covering leading and highly liquid companies across both the KOSPI main board and the KOSDAQ market. The first batch of featured stocks includes Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, NAVER, Hyundai Motor, and Celltrion. As one of Asia's major capital markets, the Korean stock market is home to many globally recognized technology, manufacturing, consumer electronics, and internet companies, as well as internationally influential listed companies in sectors such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence, new energy vehicles, and advanced manufacturing. Gate will continue expanding its tradable stock universe based on market capitalization, liquidity, and user demand, providing users with broader global asset allocation opportunities.
Compared with traditional cross-border securities investment processes, Gate's Korean stock trading service further simplifies access to global capital markets. Users only need to transfer USDT into their stock accounts to begin trading during Korean market hours, without opening additional local brokerage accounts or handling KRW conversion. Trading hours will align with the Korea Exchange's regular market session, and currently only continuous auction trading during regular market hours is supported. Users may place buy and sell orders between 09:00 and 15:20 Korea Standard Time. Stock prices, market capitalization, and profit-and-loss information will be displayed in KRW, while trading fees and settlement amounts will be converted and settled in USDT based on real-time exchange rates, providing a more intuitive and convenient trading experience.
