Q2 Profit Surges 21%! Has JD.com’s “Turning Point” Really Arrived?
On August 13, JD.com released its Q2 2026 financial report. Once the data came out, many people were baffled: Revenue fell 2.9% year over year, but Non-GAAP net profit surged 21% to ¥8.9 billion. CEO Xu Ran directly described it during the earnings call as “a clear turning point in the company’s profit trajectory.”
But the capital markets were not convinced. On the day the report was released, JD.com’s U.S.-listed shares quickly fell in premarket trading and closed down 7.31%.
