What does Bitcoin need most right now? Not pep talks or trading calls, but real liquidity! And tonight’s U.S. CPI could be an important variable shaping market sentiment.
If inflation cools in October, markets may start betting again on the Fed easing monetary policy in the future. A weaker dollar and lower bond yields could improve risk appetite, giving BTC a chance to attract fresh inflows. Tech and growth stocks could be the first to benefit, while gold may also find support.
But if inflation comes in hotter than expected again, things may not look so good. Markets could scale back rate-cut expectations and even revisit the possibility of rates staying higher for longer. BTC could then see a sharp pullback, while U.S. stocks could face valuation compression.
Bitcoin has one particular trait, though: it doesn’t necessarily follow the macroeconomic textbook. Even if CPI comes in favorably, prices could rise first and then fall, as investors who positioned themselves early may take profits on the news.
So tonight, don’t just watch the candlestick chart; keep an eye on the dollar, Treasury yields, and trading volume.
CPI fuels sentiment; capital determines direction. Will BTC ride the momentum higher, or surge and then pull back? The market will provide the answer tonight. $AMD
