$ICNT I caught this 15.4% rally, but only captured half of it. Let me review the trade.

I was watching the charts the night before last. ICNT had been moving sideways around 0.3058 for nearly six hours, a bullish divergence on the 4-hour MACD had been in place for two days, and volume had dried up to rock-bottom levels. I judged this to be a classic late-stage shakeout and placed a starter position around 0.31, using 30% of my allocation. The logic was simple: the 24h low of 0.3058 was clear support at the previous low, and the divergence, declining volume, and support formed a triple confluence. The technical signal was clear.
Yesterday afternoon, it broke above 0.34 on a surge in volume, so I increased my position to 50% and moved my stop loss up to 0.325. Then today’s rally took it to 0.3964. I placed a take-profit order at 0.385 and sold 30%, keeping a 20% core position. Why didn’t I exit everything? Because 0.3964 is right at the top of a previous high-volume trading zone: a breakout would mean acceleration, and if it failed to break through, it would be a double top. I chose to lock in some profits and use 0.36 as a trailing stop for the rest.
What’s the lesson? My initial position was too cautious. Even after the divergence was confirmed, I only allocated 30%, so I didn’t have enough exposure during the main leg up and my returns were diluted. The technical signal was right, but my position management held me back. Next time, with triple confirmation from divergence, declining volume, and support, I’ll allocate at least 50% initially, then add on a breakout. Remember: if you don’t dare to size up when the signal is clear, you might as well not have been watching.
Here’s the current chart: 0.3964 is resistance, and 0.36 is short-term support. Trade idea—consider a small position on a pullback into the 0.355-0.36 range, with a stop below 0.34 and a target of 0.42-0.44. If you chase the rally, don’t let your position exceed 20%; if 0.3964 doesn’t break, there’s a double-top risk. Stick mainly to spot and stay away from futures.
I’m the kind of trader who only looks at candlesticks and ignores the news. I watched ICNT’s divergence signal for three days before taking action. If you want to follow my upcoming trade reviews, give me a follow, and I’ll post as soon as the next signal appears. #每周来晒 #Gate广场中秋团圆局
