Looking at the 1-hour chart, NVDA has just recovered from a sharp drop down to the 181.46 level, forming a short-term rounded bottom. Price is currently consolidating near 186.68 (Intraday), but it remains capped below key moving averages (MA30 at 196.07, MA60 at 203.79). The MACD is showing a bullish convergence, with the MACD line crossing above the signal line and the histogram turning green, suggesting short-term upward momentum is building, though the overall trend remains weak.
Trading Plan:
I am looking for a quick momentum continuation trade to the upside. My entry point is a breakout above the 188.70 resistance (after-hours level), targeting the 194.44 zone (previous resistance and near the 24h high of 194.89). My stop loss will be placed tightly below the recent consolidation lows at 184.50 to protect capital in case the downtrend resumes.
I predict a short-term bounce towards the 194-195 range before hitting heavy resistance from the bearish moving average cluster above. The selling pressure from the recent massive red candle hasn't fully cleared, so I don't expect a full reversal back to 209 yet; this is likely a relief rally.
🔴What Trade Plan I Follow and Why❓️
I am following a "Mean Reversion" strategy combined with MACD confirmation. I am doing this because the stock is heavily oversold on the 1h timeframe, and the positive MACD cross indicates the sellers are exhausted for the moment. The missing AI chips news is a fundamental distraction, so I am purely trading the technical bounce off the 181 support.
🔴When I Start My Trade❓️
I will initiate my long position if the 1-hour candle closes solidly above 188.70 with increased volume. If it breaks and holds that level, I enter immediately.
The chart recently formed a series of small doji and spinning top candles around the 181-183 zone, which indicates indecision and a potential base. The current setup is forming a bullish "Morning Star"-like recovery, with the latest green candles attempting to establish a higher low.
Cautious Long. The setup favors a short-term bounce due to MACD divergence and support holding at 181, but the overall chart is still bearish below the MAs. I am taking profits quickly at 194 and will not hold overnight unless the price reclaims the 200 level.#USAIStocksHitHard
