Why Do I Hesitate to Buy a Stock I’m Bullish On? It’s Not Cowardice—My Wallet Has a Memory!
What’s the most frustrating thing about the stock market? It’s not being unable to find good companies, but thinking a company is solid and still feeling like the timing isn’t right.
You might be bullish on a company because its industry has strong prospects, its technology is competitive, or its market share keeps growing. But when you’re actually about to place an order, a bunch of questions pop into your head: Is the valuation too high right now? Has the good news already been priced in? Have institutions already finished building their positions?
What stings even more is buying just before a pullback and selling just before a rally, as if the market had set up reverse navigation just for you.
So I don’t think sitting on the sidelines means being bearish; it’s a form of risk management. An excellent company isn’t worth buying at just any price, and a promising industry doesn’t mean every company in it will make money.
I’d rather wait for opportunities with reasonable valuations, clear fundamentals, and manageable market risks.
After all, cash may not surprise you every day, but at least it won’t scare you every day.
Are you the type to act as soon as you’re bullish, or the cautious type who’d rather miss out than jump in too soon? #美股财报季
