SanDisk $SNDK “Long-Slaughter Night”: How can those who went long at 1000 and got trapped get out? Whales are “legally dismantling” your position!
SanDisk is now at 837. You went long at 1000, and your unrealized loss is already over 16%.
I’ll tell you straight: this isn’t a normal pullback—it’s a targeted cleanup of long positions. The charts say it all: $15.14 million in liquidations over 24 hours, with only $5.17 million in short liquidations versus a staggering $9.96 million in long liquidations. Whale data is even more striking: 581 short whales are sitting on $46.67 million in unrealized profit, with a 92% win rate; meanwhile, the 91 long whales on your side have an average entry price of 942 and are all trapped. Shorts are counting their money while longs line up to get slaughtered.
Why has it fallen so hard? On the surface, it’s fear of AI regulation after the U.S. midterm elections: 40% of SanDisk’s revenue is tied to data centers, putting its lifeline at risk. Add the 8-for-1 stock split on November 20, and on the eve of liquidity dilution, the synthetic token’s market depth is almost zero—so even a little selling pressure can smash through the floor. But the real killer is this: whales are precisely hunting long-position stop-losses during the liquidity vacuum while the U.S. stock market is closed. You’re holding at 838; they’re waiting for the moment your margin runs out.
So what should you do now?
At 838, absolutely do not add to your position to average down. Adding during a liquidity vacuum is just handing shorts more fuel. The first target is a rebound to the 890–920 resistance zone. Cut your position by half first to bring your margin ratio back to a safe level; keep a close eye on 806 for the rest. If the daily candle closes below 806, the next stop is 750—don’t pit faith against the liquidation line.
But everyone has different leverage, margin, and entry prices. A one-size-fits-all plan could turn “trapped” into “liquidated.”
Where exactly should you reduce your position, by how much, and how should you manage what’s left? @老张说趋势 will personally help you defuse this landmine. Don’t wait until the liquidation text arrives to remember to ask for help.
