Has the alarm sounded for a historic sell-off in U.S. stocks? Capital is starting to flee—is it time for investors to prepare for winter?
When the market is rising, investors always feel the bull market can continue. But when selling pressure suddenly mounts, everyone realizes that the risks were there all along.
Tech stocks are under pressure, risk aversion is rising, and capital is starting to seek safety again. For U.S. stock indexes that rely heavily on tech stocks to drive gains, this is undoubtedly a major test.
If this is merely short-term profit-taking, the market may still have a chance to stabilize as valuations return to reasonable levels.
But if problems emerge such as lowered earnings expectations, slower economic growth, and tighter financing conditions, the situation could become much more complicated.
Market breadth deserves particular attention. If not only tech giants but also small- and mid-cap stocks continue to weaken, it cannot simply be viewed as an internal correction in the tech sector.
The easiest mistake for investors to make is to forget about risk when prices rise and lose their sense of reason when they fall.
The most important thing now is not to guess the bottom, but to watch whether capital flows, corporate earnings, and market sentiment are improving.
The stock market is not the weather—you don't have to move out as soon as you see dark clouds. But if a storm really is coming, there's no harm in closing the windows ahead of time!#亚太股市集体重挫
