Every time BTC pulls back, altcoins are especially quick to react. They may not necessarily lead the way up, but when prices fall, they often drop faster than one another.
Over the past 24 hours, BTC is down about 4%, ETH is down about 5.5%, and major coins such as SOL and XRP have also weakened. Short-term market risk has risen noticeably, and investors are starting to reassess their asset allocations.
From a capital-flow perspective, when risk appetite declines, funds usually reduce exposure to high-volatility assets first. Altcoins have relatively weaker liquidity, so when buying demand is insufficient, price swings may be amplified further.
But this doesn’t mean the altcoin market is over for good. What’s truly worth watching is whether BTC can stabilize and whether funds flow back into major coins and high-risk assets.
My strategy is to rein in the urge to trade aggressively for now: neither chase the drop nor blindly buy the dip. After all, altcoins can be thrilling on the way up, but the pain when they fall is very real too.
Which do you think has a better chance of being the first to recover in the next rebound, SOL or XRP?$AMD
