The backyard is on fire! $HYPE A late-night wick down to 76.23— the real culprit isn’t the broader market; insiders are fleeing, so don’t blame BTC.
HYPE insiders made the first move in this late-night sell-off. On-chain evidence: Paradigm unstaked 2.55 million tokens from HyperCore in two days (about $224 million), equal to 18% of its remaining stake; then, on November 6, a 180k-token unlock for core contributors went through. Unstaking doesn’t mean selling, but those tokens are no longer locked and could turn into real selling pressure on exchanges at any moment.
More damaging is the collapse of the narrative. The CFTC opened the door to U.S. perpetual futures, and compliant giants like Kalshi and Coinbase moved straight in, tearing a hole in Hyperliquid’s monopoly moat. This is a weakening of the underlying fundamentals, not just a simple shakeout.
Combined with risk aversion after the break below 75,900, longs were precisely liquidated near 76.
