Accept the drawdown, but resent the present

The underlying logic of this world is always an exchange governed by the conservation of energy.
Everything you gain, whether money, status, love, or personal growth, has to be exchanged for something else: time, effort, patience, risk, or restraint. There are no exceptions.
You only see others make big profits trading, not how many consecutive stop-losses they endured or how many times they held on through sharp pullbacks in unrealized gains; you only see others thriving in their careers, not how much entertainment they gave up or how many risks they took that you wouldn’t dare to take. Behind every outcome you envy is a price you’re unwilling to pay.
And the biggest loss of all is draining the energy you have now over things that are already gone#

The biggest loss is throwing more money at sunk costs; cutting your losses in time is the real win

Blindly holding a position only takes you further down the wrong path

Nailed it: pullbacks are the norm; riding them out is the real skill

The part about giving back unrealized gains hit hard—I just went through that last week, but I’ve made peace with it now
