$APP Up 27% in a day to 317, with 24-hour trading volume at just 62.7M—I've been watching this price-volume divergence for three years, and every time it appears, it signals overheated sentiment. I put the current Fear & Greed Index at 78 (greed zone), with a +0.09% funding rate (longs are paying). Historical comparison: the last time $APP's funding rate broke 0.08% was two months ago, followed by a 22% pullback over the next 48 hours. Price surged straight up from a low of 247.72, then pulled back without holding the high of 343.36—a textbook FOMO-chasing structure.

My trading framework is simple: don't chase longs at levels like this; wait for a pullback. For position management, at the current price of 317, I'm only taking a 10% starter position, with a stop-loss at 295 (below the 0.618 retracement of the previous rally) and the first take-profit target near the previous high of 343, where I'll halve the position. If the funding rate keeps rising past 0.12% while the price stalls, I'll close out completely and wait for panic selling. I have just one coin-selection rule—volume and price must move in sync. $APP's volume hasn't kept up with its price, which means the rally is driven by sentiment, not capital accumulation.
The timing logic is even more straightforward: Fear & Greed at 78 + positive funding rate + 24-hour volatility of 38%—when all three indicators flash at once, historically there's an 80% chance of a sharp drop and shakeout within 48 hours. I don't try to call the top, but I step back when others are greedy. Stop-loss discipline is non-negotiable: losses on any single trade must not exceed 2% of total holdings. With volatility like $APP's, stop-losses must be executed mechanically—don't hold and hope.
Engagement hook: Do you think $APP can hold 343 or will it pull back to 280 first? Comment “343” or “280”; I'll see which way most people are leaning.
I'm an emotion gauge, focused on turning points in the Fear & Greed Index and funding rates. Last time, this helped me avoid three wick-downs. Follow me, and you'll know as soon as the next extreme reading appears.

Your framework is exactly the same as my mentor’s. He got liquidated last month

I’ll buy the pullback at 280 and chase the breakout at 343. Can’t I profit from both ends?

With the Fear & Greed Index at 78, those still piling in are basically giving the market makers a year-end bonus

A 0.09% funding rate is definitely a bit spicy; the guys who got stuck at this level last time are still up on the mountaintop catching the wind

10% starter position + 295 mechanical stop-loss—I’ve completely failed to learn this discipline

I placed a short near the previous high of 343—trading the volume-price divergence is a real thrill
