Behind $960 million in liquidations: Bitcoin’s real enemy isn’t the drop—it’s greed!

Seeing nearly $1 billion in liquidations, many people’s first reaction is: Why has the market gone crazy again? In fact, what’s truly crazy may not be Bitcoin, but the ever-increasing leverage investors are taking on.
When prices fall, long positions run short of margin and are forced to close; when prices suddenly rebound, shorts are squeezed out of the market one after another. The market is like a washing machine spinning at high speed: whoever opens a position that’s too large may get thrown out.
