Apple closed fiscal 2026 with a Q4 that says a lot about its business model.

Revenue for the quarter ended 26 September 2026 reached $114.5 billion, up 12% year over year and a record for a September quarter. Diluted EPS came in at $2.10, up 14%. That EPS number includes roughly $0.05 from tariff refunds, so underlying growth is a little less dramatic but still solid. Gross margin was 47.9%.

The mix matters more than the headline. iPhone revenue set a September-quarter record, and Services hit an all-time high. Apple is still selling premium hardware, but it is increasingly monetizing its installed base through recurring services. That supports margins and makes revenue less dependent on a single product cycle.

Full-year revenue was $479 billion, a company record. The read-through is clear: Apple enters the holiday period with strong demand, a high-margin services engine, and enough financial cushion to absorb tariff noise. The one-off refund is worth noting, but it does not change the bigger story. Hardware opens the door. Services and ecosystem lock-in keep the economics attractive.
