Up 7.5%, appearing on the unusual-moves list, with 44 million in trading volume—it sounds impressive. But check its volume, and it’s exactly the same as usual: 1.0x, with no increase at all.
Pushing the price up without any increase in volume—that’s the most suspicious part. Either the supply is tightly locked up, so the price rose simply because no one was selling, or insiders are trading back and forth among themselves, pushing the price up and waiting for you to rush in after seeing the green candles and take their bags.
It was up only 1.2% over seven days, but gained 7.5% in the past 24 hours—meaning the previous six days accomplished nothing, and it delivered everything in one day. I’ve seen this kind of move too many times: you’re a hero when you rush in, and a martyr when you get out.
