Sui is pushing deeper into the idea of an agent-driven blockchain economy.

At Sui Basecamp 2026, the focus includes giving on-chain agents more controlled access through programmable policies and permissions.

The important part is not simply letting AI agents interact with assets. It is being able to define what an agent can access, what actions it can perform, and where those permissions stop.

That could become increasingly important as autonomous agents start handling transactions and digital assets on behalf of users.

The “SUI Agent Pass” name is being circulated, but the broader agent access-control concept is what I would focus on until Sui provides a definitive product announcement.

Interesting direction for Sui as blockchain infrastructure moves closer to the agent economy.

Let's wait for the official product. The name doesn't matter; the permission model design is the moat.

Granular permission control is more important than simply putting AI on-chain—Sui has identified the pain point this time.

The term “programmable policies” is crucial: it means agent behavior can be audited and revoked, rather than being a black box.

SUI Agent Pass sounds like a ticket, but only locking down an agent’s permission boundaries is true infra.

The agent economy is here, but users must first be able to control their own agents—otherwise, it will be a disaster.
