Try this test on any major prediction platform you already use, attempt to list a market about something genuinely specific to your own community. Not an election. Not BTC price. Something your group actually argues about that nobody outside it would recognize.

You can't. And it's not because the platform disagrees with your market idea — it's because there's no mechanism for you to submit it at all. Listing is a curation decision made by a small internal team, guessing at what's broadly tradeable enough to be worth their infrastructure and their legal exposure. By definition, that guess excludes anything that isn't already broad. Niche gets filtered out before it's ever considered, not because it's bad, but because it's niche.
That's the exact same gate that used to sit in front of video publishing before platforms let anyone hit upload. A small number of people decided what was worth broadcasting, and everything outside that judgment simply had no path to exist publicly. @xomarket removes that gate specifically at the point of market creation — $10, your question, live, no pitch to a listings team required.
The obvious pushback: doesn't open listing just mean disputed outcomes and unaccountable resolution? That's the exact failure mode MODRA is built to close, because the resolution source gets locked into the market's terms at creation — before either side has capital on the line, before anyone knows which outcome benefits from arguing a technicality. Open creation without trust-minimized resolution doesn't work; it just moves the disputes downstream. You need both pieces solved together, and this is the first place I've actually seen both live simultaneously instead of one promised as a roadmap item.
