BLACKROCK’S BITCOIN ETF $IBIT JUST PRINTED ITS FIRST-EVER GOLDEN CROSS.

After falling 54% from its 2025 high of $71.82 to the 2026 low, $IBIT spent months struggling below its 200 day moving average, which acted as resistance.
Now, price has reclaimed both the 50day & 200day moving averages, confirming a golden cross.
This is an important trend signal but it’s not a guaranteed buy signal.
From here, I’m watching two key scenarios:
• Hold above both MAs → bullish trend remains intact
• Lose both MAs → momentum could turn bearish
For me, the key is whether $IBIT can sustain this breakout and build above the moving averages.

Technical traders are thrilled, but remember there were several fake breakouts in 2024 too. This time, it only counts if it holds for two weeks.

The golden cross is indeed a technical signal, but ETFs and spot are still two different things; whether institutional buying can continue is the key.

All of BlackRock’s ETFs have formed golden crosses, and TradFi capital is voting with real money—the long-term trend may truly be shifting.

Recovering from a 54% drawdown isn’t easy, but chasing longs at this level also carries significant risk. It’s not too late to wait until it holds above the 200MA.
