TRUMP’S $249M EXCHANGE FLOW: THE REAL RISK IS NOT JUST THE PRICE

TRUMP has lost more than 97% from its early all-time high, but the bigger story today may not be the chart alone. It is the amount of supply still controlled by the team and the steady flow of tokens that have been moved toward centralized exchanges.

According to on-chain analyst EmberCN, also known as Yu Jin, approximately 81.87 million TRUMP tokens were transferred from team-controlled wallets to major centralized exchanges over the past eight months. Based on an average transfer price of around $3.04, those movements represent roughly $249 million in token value.

At first glance, $249 million sounds enormous. But the deeper issue is the percentage of supply behind the wallets.

The TRUMP token has a total supply of 1 billion tokens, with the team originally allocated approximately 800 million, or 80% of the entire supply.

The 81.87 million tokens transferred represent approximately 10.2% of the team's original allocation and about 8.2% of total supply.

That means the team still controls roughly 718 million TRUMP, equivalent to approximately 71.8% of the total supply.

At a current price near $2.03, that remaining position is worth approximately $1.46 billion.

This is where the market needs to look beyond the headline.

A transfer to an exchange does not automatically mean that every token has been sold. On-chain data confirms that tokens moved to exchange wallets, but those tokens can potentially remain there, be used for market making, block trades, collateral, or other purposes.

Still, exchange inflows matter because they place a significant amount of supply in an environment where selling can happen much more easily.

The timeline is also important.

This was not one enormous transfer occurring on a single day. The movement happened gradually over roughly eight months. A slow distribution process can be less dramatic than a sudden dump, but it can create a persistent supply overhang that makes sustained recoveries more difficult.

Now look at the price.

TRUMP is currently around $2.03, down approximately 1.87% over 24 hours and 5.61% over seven days. From its $75.35 all-time high, the token is now roughly 97.3% lower.

The current price is also around 33% below the team's average transfer price of $3.04.

Technically, the setup remains cautious. RSI is around 37.7, showing weak momentum without being deeply oversold. CCI is around -177, indicating strong downside momentum and oversold conditions. The broader moving-average structure remains bearish to neutral.

However, technical indicators alone cannot answer the most important question: Can demand absorb future supply?

That is what traders should watch next.

New large transfers from team-controlled wallets to exchanges could increase selling-pressure concerns. On the other hand, a slowdown in transfers, a formal lockup, or a meaningful vesting announcement could change the market's interpretation.

For Gate traders, the most useful approach is to watch the TRUMP/USDT market alongside on-chain wallet activity. Price, volume, order-book depth, and exchange inflows together provide a much clearer picture than any single indicator.

In my view, the $249 million figure is important, but the bigger issue is the 718 million TRUMP still controlled by the team.

That is the supply overhang the market cannot ignore.

This is not a buy or sell signal. It is simply an analysis of publicly available on-chain, market, and technical data. TRUMP remains a highly volatile meme asset, and future price action will depend heavily on supply distribution, demand, sentiment, and broader crypto-market conditions.
