When I look at the current Gate Launchpool lineup, what stands out to me is not simply the size of the airdrops. It is the variety of structures available at the same time.

FOLD, LAPTOP and XAUT each approach rewards differently. One focuses on a very high displayed APR, another on a large token allocation, while the third connects Launchpool participation with a gold-linked asset.

According to Gate’s September 28 update, these three projects were running simultaneously, giving users several different structures to compare within the same ecosystem.

FOLD: THE HIGH-APR STORY

FOLD is the most eye-catching campaign when looking at displayed APR.

Gate Launchpool allocated 2,029,221 FOLD tokens for the campaign, with BTC, ETH and FOLD staking pools. Gate reported displayed APRs of approximately 2.49% for BTC, 3.61% for ETH and as high as 590.76% for the FOLD pool.

That 590.76% number naturally attracts attention, but I think it is important to understand what an APR figure represents. It is an annualized rate based on the conditions at that moment, not a guaranteed return for the entire campaign.

Pool participation, token price, reward distribution and remaining campaign time can all change the effective value.

FOLD was also listed for spot trading on Gate, with FOLD/USDT trading beginning September 13. Gate describes Interfold as technology that allows different parties to collaborate on computation while keeping their inputs private and making results verifiable.

LAPTOP: LARGE TOKEN DISTRIBUTION

LAPTOP presents a completely different opportunity structure.

Gate allocated 1,289,608 LAPTOP tokens for the Launchpool campaign, with BTC and LAPTOP pools. The campaign runs from September 18 through October 9, 2026, and rewards are distributed hourly with 100% unlock.

Gate reported displayed APRs of approximately 263.05% for the LAPTOP pool and 2.39% for the BTC pool.

For me, the interesting part here is that users should look beyond the APR headline.

The total reward allocation, token price, staking asset, campaign duration and individual limits all matter when evaluating the potential reward.

A fixed number of LAPTOP tokens does not have a fixed dollar value because the market price can move significantly during or after the campaign.

XAUT: A DIFFERENT ASSET PROFILE

Then there is XAUT, which makes the lineup even more diverse.

Gate Launchpool allocated 34 XAUT in total rewards across three pools: 18 XAUT for USDT, 8 XAUT for GT and 8 XAUT for XAUT. Gate reported displayed APRs of approximately 3.35% for USDT, 6.38% for GT and 12.45% for XAUT.

This is interesting because XAUT introduces a gold-linked digital asset into the Launchpool structure.

Instead of only comparing crypto-token pools, users can compare USDT, GT and XAUT routes with different reward rates and different underlying asset exposures.

GT ALSO HAS A ROLE

The GT pool is another part I would pay attention to.

A displayed 6.38% APR on the XAUT-GT pool should not be viewed in isolation. The reward rate is one component, while the market value of the GT being staked can move independently.

That is why I think Launchpool analysis should always include both sides of the equation: the reward being earned and the asset being used to earn it.

THREE CAMPAIGNS, THREE DIFFERENT QUESTIONS

For FOLD, the key question is how the very high displayed APR compares with changing pool conditions and FOLD price.

For LAPTOP, the key numbers are the 1,289,608-token allocation, 263.05% displayed APR on the LAPTOP pool and 2.39% on BTC.

For XAUT, the key structure is 34 total XAUT rewards divided between USDT, GT and XAUT pools.

The bigger picture is that Gate Launchpool gives users multiple ways to participate without requiring one identical strategy for everyone.

FINAL THOUGHT

What I find most interesting about these three campaigns is the contrast.

FOLD represents the high displayed APR side.

LAPTOP represents the large token-distribution side.

XAUT represents the gold-linked and multi-pool side.

But none of these figures should be treated as guaranteed returns. APR can change, token prices can move, liquidity can change and individual reward limits can affect the final outcome.

My approach is simple: before participating, I would check the current official pool rules, eligible assets, staking limits, campaign dates, live APR and reward allocation.
