$BTC and US Stocks After NFP — Watching the Market Reaction

NFP day is one of those days when I’d rather sit on my hands for a while than rush into a trade.

The headline drops and suddenly BTC starts moving like crazy. One big candle, a few fast wicks, and everyone starts trying to guess where the market is going next.

I’m not doing that.

Once the dust starts settling, I’m looking at DXY and Treasury yields first. They usually give me a much better idea of whether the initial BTC move has any real strength behind it.

A stronger jobs report could push yields and the dollar higher, and that can put pressure on BTC and tech stocks. But honestly, I don’t trust that first red candle very much. NFP is famous for shaking out traders before the actual direction becomes clearer.

What gets my attention is what happens after the wick.

If BTC loses an important support level and keeps trading below it while DXY stays strong, then the weakness starts looking more meaningful.

But if BTC gets dumped, grabs liquidity and suddenly reclaims that same area, I’m not chasing the short anymore. That kind of reaction can completely change the setup.

The same thing applies to US tech stocks. I’ll be watching how yields behave after the first reaction. A quick spike is one thing. Holding those higher levels is another.

I don’t need to catch the first move.

Missing a few points is fine. Getting chopped up because I couldn’t wait for confirmation is the part I want to avoid.

So on NFP, my plan is pretty simple: watch the reaction, watch DXY, watch yields and let BTC show me what it actually wants to do.

No need to force a trade just because the market is moving fast.

- *Stop Loss:* 82,800 (∼1.4%)
- *TP1:* 86,500
- *TP2:* 87,200
- *Reason:* better risk:reward, buy at support rather than resistance

Market risk is the potential for financial losses caused by broad, external market movements rather than company-specific errors.
