#MicronReportQ4Earnings

Micron’s latest earnings report looks impressive on the surface, but the real market question is not whether the company beat expectations. It is whether these earnings can become the new normal.

Micron reported $54.23B in revenue, comfortably above the roughly $51.07B expected, while adjusted EPS came in at $33.42 versus $31.72 expected. Non-GAAP gross margin reached 87.0%, showing just how strong the current memory and AI infrastructure cycle has become.

Yet MU barely moved after hours.

That reaction is important. When expectations are already extremely high, a strong quarter can become old news almost immediately. The bigger signal was management’s forward guidance.

For Q1, Micron expects approximately $61.5B ± $1.5B in revenue, compared with consensus around $56.64B. Adjusted EPS is guided to $38.15, above the approximately $35.40 expected.

Even more significant is the HBM outlook. Management said the vast majority of calendar 2027 HBM bit supply is already contracted at significantly higher prices. That provides meaningful visibility into future demand, although Micron did not disclose a specific HBM revenue figure.

There are still important details to watch. Q4 included an extra week, so the underlying sequential growth rate is closer to 21.5% rather than the headline 30.8%. Q1 gross margin is also expected to decline from Q4 levels while R&D and factory investment continue increasing.

Valuation creates another interesting debate. Fiscal 2026 EPS was $75.52, with revenue of $133.19B. At around $1,098.01, MU trades near 14.5x fiscal 2026 earnings. Based on the annualized Q1 EPS guide, the multiple is roughly 7.2x run-rate earnings.

Technically, the stock remains strong. The key hourly moving-average cluster sits around $1,069, while $1,042.16 is the important downside level. Resistance is near $1,101.30. A breakout could open $1,125 and then $1,150.

For me, the bigger question is simple: are Micron’s extraordinary earnings temporary peak-cycle numbers, or the beginning of a higher structural earnings base?
