#HowToPositionForAPullback
After the recent rally, the crypto market has slowed down somewhat, and BTC and ETH are especially interesting to watch now. Bitcoin is holding around $82K, while Ethereum is trading near $2,600. After a strong upward move, a pullback looks like a perfectly natural part of the market. To me, such a moment is not a reason to rush into a position, but an opportunity to take a closer look at the levels. When the price declines, it is important to understand whether this is ordinary profit-taking or the beginning of a deeper move. Right now, I am watching BTC's reaction to the nearest support levels and trading volumes more closely. If the market can hold after the pullback, buying interest may strengthen again. But if sellers continue to apply pressure, it is better to give the chart some time and not rush.
At the same time, I would not look only at Bitcoin. After moving to $2,600, Ethereum also remains interesting, especially if ETH starts showing relative strength against BTC. Altcoins can move much more sharply, so there may potentially be more opportunities here, but the risks are also noticeably higher. DOGE, ADA, NEAR, and other coins can react quickly to changes in market sentiment. That is why, before entering, I prefer to understand in advance where I want to open a position and under what scenario I will abandon the trade. I do not want to buy just because the price has already fallen a little. Sometimes a better entry point appears after additional confirmation, rather than on the first red candle. For me, the main thing right now is not to guess the exact bottom, but to wait for a moment when the ratio of risk to potential movement looks reasonable.
What I am watching now:
① BTC — whether the nearest levels will hold after the pullback and whether buyers will return.
② ETH — whether it can maintain relative strength and approach the recent highs again.
③ Altcoins — which coins recover faster after the decline and where volume appears.
④ The overall market — whether the pullback will be a temporary correction or sellers will continue to increase pressure.
⑤ Entry points — I prefer to determine the level, stop, and possible targets in advance rather than make decisions emotionally.
It is also interesting to see how each trader uses periods like this. Some prefer to gradually increase their position during a decline, some wait for full confirmation of a reversal, while others stay on the sidelines altogether until a clearer signal appears. I am currently closer to the third option and do not want to open a trade simply for the sake of trading. After strong market growth, it is sometimes genuinely necessary to cool off a little. If BTC stabilizes, this could create clearer conditions for both ETH and individual altcoins. But if selling pressure intensifies, I would rather wait for the next level. Opportunities appear regularly in crypto, so missing a move does not mean everything is over.
Overall, I am looking at the current pullback calmly and without unnecessary haste. BTC around $82K and ETH around $2,600 currently provide a good reason to watch the subsequent move more closely. I am interested to see whether new demand will emerge after the decline or whether the market will want to test lower levels. Personally, I prefer to plan a position in advance and not try to catch every candle. This is especially important with altcoins, where one sharp move can quickly change the picture. Right now, the most interesting thing is to watch where buyers become active again. Only after that will I decide whether it is worth increasing the position or whether it is better to wait a little longer. The crypto market is not going anywhere, and a good entry point is far more important than the desire to enter right now.
