#每周来晒 #DOGE How Much Further Can DOGE Rise? The Number That Really Determines Dogecoin’s Ceiling Is Not Musk, but This One Figure

Can DOGE Have Another Rally?
When many people study DOGE, their first reactions are Musk, memes, and community sentiment. But there is really only one question worth studying: with about 5 billion new DOGE added every year, does the market have enough new capital to absorb all of this additional supply? This determines whether DOGE is merely a one-off meme rally or can re-enter a major uptrend cycle.

I. Where DOGE Stands Now
As of September 2026, DOGE is approximately $0.098, with a circulating supply of about 171.8 billion coins and a market cap of approximately $16.8 billion; its all-time high in May 2021 was approximately $0.7376. In other words, it is still about 87% below its all-time high. But one of the biggest differences between today’s DOGE and DOGE in 2021 is that its supply has increased significantly. So the real question should not be, “Can DOGE return to $0.7?” but rather, “How much capital would today’s DOGE need to support $0.7 or even $1?”

II. DOGE’s Biggest Variable: Continuously Increasing Supply!
DOGE has no fixed maximum supply, with about 5 billion new coins added each year. This issuance is mainly used to reward miners and maintain network security.
Therefore, DOGE’s core logic is completely different from BTC:
BTC: Driven by scarcity.
DOGE: Demand must continuously catch up with newly added supply. It can be simply understood as:
New demand > new supply → price is more likely to rise
New demand < new supply → valuation comes under pressure
So DOGE’s real fundamental question is not “How many coins have yet to be mined?” but rather: Will enough people continue buying DOGE in the future?

III. Why Does DOGE Still Have Such a Huge Market Impact?
The answer is: brand + community + liquidity + recognition.
DOGE has existed for more than a decade and has developed global community and brand recognition. Its biggest advantage is not technological leadership, but that the market does not need to get to know it all over again.
When the market enters a high risk-appetite phase and capital rotates from BTC and ETH into high-beta assets, DOGE can easily become a focus of attention again.
But this is also its weakness: DOGE’s valuation depends heavily on market consensus. Once the meme craze fades, the supply-growth problem will re-emerge if there is no sustained new demand.

IV. DOGE’s Mining Logic Cannot Be Applied Directly from ETC
ETC can be studied through the chain: price → hashrate → difficulty → miner revenue → shutdowns → selling pressure
Although DOGE also uses PoW, it uses the Scrypt algorithm and has a merged-mining relationship with LTC.
Therefore, DOGE miner economics are simultaneously affected by: DOGE price + LTC price + mining machine efficiency + electricity costs + mining pool revenue.
So it cannot simply be assumed that “DOGE falling below a certain cost price → large numbers of miners shut down.”
Miner selling pressure certainly exists, but for DOGE, the more important long-term variable remains: Can the market continue to absorb newly added supply?

V. A New Variable: DOGE Has Entered the ETF Era!
This is an important difference between DOGE in this cycle and in previous cycles.
REX-Osprey’s DOJE was launched in September 2025, and as of September 24, 2026, the fund’s assets were approximately $13.13 million.
But note that having an ETF ≠ guaranteed large capital inflows.
The market has already shown divergence:
REX-Osprey’s DOJE is still operating, while Bitwise has announced the closure of its DOGE ETF product.
So what is really worth watching is not “Does a DOGE ETF exist?” but rather: Can the ETF generate sustained, large-scale capital inflows? Only this could truly change DOGE’s supply-and-demand structure.

VI. DOGE’s Most Important Price Map
Using the current approximately $0.10 as the reference point:
DOGE Relative to $0.10 Market cap based on current supply * $0.15 1.5x ≈$25.7 billion
$0.20 2x ≈$34.4 billion
$0.30 3x ≈$51.5 billion
$0.50 5x ≈$85.9 billion
$0.70 7x ≈$120.3 billion
$1.00 10x ≈$171.8 billion
Based on the current supply of approximately 171.8 billion coins, calculated statically, continued future supply growth will further raise the required market cap.
This table is crucial. Many people see that “DOGE reaching $1 means a 10x increase,” but overlook the other side: DOGE reaching $1 means a market cap of approximately $170 billion. This is a scale that an ordinary meme rally cannot easily achieve.

VII. The 5 Signals to Watch in This Cycle
① Whether newly added DOGE continues to be absorbed by the market;
② Whether ETF inflows continue to grow;
③ Whether DOGE trading volume and on-chain activity expand simultaneously;
④ Whether payments and real-world applications can generate new demand;
⑤ Whether risk appetite for the BTC macro cycle and the meme sector heats up again.
The most important point has always been: Can the speed of capital inflows exceed the speed of supply growth?
If the answer is “yes,” DOGE’s valuation upside may reopen; if the answer is “no,” even a strong community and brand may only be able to support a short-term rally.

Finally: What Is DOGE’s Real “Ceiling”? DOGE’s biggest strengths: a global brand + a huge community + high liquidity + extremely strong market recognition. DOGE’s biggest weakness: continuously increasing supply.
So the core contradiction of this cycle can be condensed into one sentence:
DOGE is not competing with BTC on scarcity; it is racing against its own newly added supply.
Rather than arguing over whether “DOGE can reach $1,” it is better to focus on three questions: Is capital continuing to flow in? Is the supply being continuously absorbed? Is demand genuinely expanding? The answers to these three questions are the real “price engine” of DOGE’s next rally. $DOGE
