WLD Jumps 15% While Bitcoin Sits Still: Has Worldcoin's Story Finally Changed?

Bitcoin spent this week crawling sideways near 84,000 dollar. WLD did not.
The token is up roughly 15% in 24 hours and 15.5% over seven days, reclaiming the 0.50 dollar zone while the broader market barely moved.
With leveraged longs crowding in and one large wallet heading for the exit, though, is this a genuine repricing or a liquidity setup?

World, formerly Worldcoin, has stopped describing itself purely as an iris-scanning identity layer. In mid-September the project outlined stablecoin rails, transfers, trading, an Earn product, Stripe integration and a rollout across 150 countries. That reframes WLD from a biometric ID bet into a consumer fintech bet, and the market began paying for the second story.

The derivatives data supports momentum, not calm. Open interest grew about 5.4% in 24 hours to roughly 411 million dollar, funding stays positive, and the long/short ratio sits near 1.79, a crowd leaning one way. On the hourly chart, RSI near 74 and price trading above the upper Bollinger band say the same thing: trend strength and stretch at once. Total crypto market cap is about 2.98 trillion dollar with Bitcoin dominance at 58.5%, so WLD's move is asset-specific, not a tide.

The counter-signal is supply. On 23 September a multisig-linked address moved 42.37 million WLD, about 19.6 million dollar, into an exchange, its first deposit in five months and its last, since the wallet is now empty. Add a 10 billion token supply against 3.65 billion circulating, and every rally eventually meets dilution. Biometric privacy rules across 150 markets remain unwritten.

If World's payments layer works, this is a re-rating. If it fails, today's breakout is high-beta rotation.
