Don’t rush to call it a takeoff after BTC hits 87K—the real test may only begin at the 90K mark
This BTC rebound has clearly changed market sentiment. From cautious observation a while ago to the current battle around $87,000, market discussions have shifted from “Can it still rise?” to “Where do we look after 90K?”
This is a typical rising market: price is responsible for creating confidence, while social media is responsible for creating imagination.
From a capital-flow perspective, ETFs have recently once again become an important driving force. On September 21, U.S. spot BTC ETFs saw nearly $1 billion in net daily inflows, reaching one of the most notable levels this year; meanwhile, short liquidations also helped prices quickly break through key areas.
However, the closer prices get to a round-number threshold, the less one should focus solely on sentiment.
87K has completed an important breakout, so the first thing to watch next is whether prices can establish stable support in the 85K–87K region. If prices remain firmly above the breakout level, expectations for 90K will naturally heat up further; if they quickly fall back into the range before the breakout, it would indicate that this rally still faces significant short-term profit-taking pressure.
90K itself is also not an ordinary number. Round-number thresholds often attract profit-taking orders, hedging positions, and short-term trading capital, so even if prices genuinely reach around 90K, sharp volatility could still emerge.
If 90K is ultimately broken effectively, the market’s focus in the next phase could move further upward to around 95K or even 97K. Some market analyses already regard 95K–97K as an important resistance zone.
So the most comfortable approach right now is not to guess the top every day, but to prepare two plans: observe continuation after a breakout, and observe the strength of support on a pullback.
After all, the easiest mistake to make in a bull market is not being wrong once, but suddenly believing you cannot be wrong after seeing prices rise.#BTC突破87000美元
