Bitcoin doesn’t need clarity.

According to Strive CEO Matt Cole, the bigger issue is policy and fiscal discipline in the United States.

Speaking to Schwab Network Cole argued that the U.S. government needs greater clarity around spending rather than Bitcoin needing more regulatory definition.

The distinction matters.

Bitcoin operates under a transparent, rules-based monetary network. Government fiscal policy, meanwhile, can change through political decisions, budgets, debt issuance and monetary policy.

For investors the broader question is not only:

“What rules will Bitcoin have?”

It is also:

“What happens to the value of money when government spending continues to rise?”

That debate sits at the intersection of Bitcoin, fiscal policy, inflation and long-term monetary credibility.

Cole’s comment highlights a different way to frame the Bitcoin regulation debate perhaps the focus should extend beyond crypto policy and toward the fiscal policies that shape the environment Bitcoin operates in.
