Bitcoin Climbed From $76K to $87K — But Is the Real Move Just Beginning?

Bitcoin has delivered one of the most interesting rebounds of the recent market structure.

From the $76,000 area to nearly $87,000, BTC has recovered roughly $11,000, turning a period of fear and uncertainty into a renewed wave of optimism across the crypto market.

But after such a strong move, I think the most important question is no longer:

“How high can Bitcoin go?”

The better question is:

“Can Bitcoin prove that this rally has real strength behind it?”

This is where I like the image of the wolf.

The wolf does not run blindly with the herd.

It watches.

It waits.

It studies the environment before making its move.

Bitcoin's recovery from the $76K region toward $87K has already changed the short-term market mood. BTC reclaimed important psychological levels around $80K, $82K and $85K, eventually reaching a local high near $87K.

That kind of move naturally attracts attention.

Traders who were short started getting squeezed as Bitcoin moved higher, contributing to significant short liquidations. At the same time, renewed demand from the spot market and Bitcoin ETF flows helped strengthen the recovery narrative.

But momentum alone is not confirmation.

A strong candle can attract traders.

A sustained trend requires something more.

The market now needs to answer several important questions.

Are spot buyers still entering?

Are ETF flows continuing to support demand?

Is trading volume confirming the move?

Is Bitcoin holding the levels it recently reclaimed?

And perhaps most importantly:

How much leverage is entering the market after the $76K → $87K recovery?

This matters because Bitcoin's rally has also encouraged traders to increase futures exposure. After BTC moved above the $82K area, roughly $2 billion in new futures positions were reportedly added.

That can work in both directions.

If price continues higher while demand remains strong, increasing participation can help accelerate momentum.

But if leverage grows much faster than genuine spot demand, the market can become increasingly sensitive to even a normal pullback.

That is why I would not treat $87K simply as another number.

It is a test.

Bitcoin has already demonstrated that buyers were willing to step in around the $76K region. Now the market needs to show whether buyers can defend the higher structure after such a powerful recovery.

If BTC continues holding the reclaimed zones, maintains healthy volume, and receives continued spot demand, the $90K area naturally becomes an important level for the market to watch.

But if the rally becomes increasingly dependent on leverage rather than organic demand, volatility could rise quickly.

For me, the lesson is simple:

The wolf does not chase the biggest green candle.

It watches what happens after the candle.

Does Bitcoin hold?

Does demand remain?

Does volume confirm?

Does leverage become excessive?

And when the market pulls back, do buyers defend the breakout?

Those answers may tell us more about the strength of this rally than the $87K headline itself.

Bitcoin has already travelled from approximately $76,000 to $87,000.

Now the next chapter is about whether that recovery can build a stronger foundation—or whether the market needs another test before continuing higher.

🐺 The herd watches the price.
The wolf watches the conditions behind the price.

What are you watching now: $87K resistance, $85K support, ETF flows, volume, or futures leverage?
