#MSTR leads the Nasdaq-100
Sometimes when looking at U.S. stocks, what is truly worth watching is not how much the Nasdaq has risen, but who is leading the gains.

Over the past month, Strategy($MSTR

has gained nearly 48% cumulatively, surging into the top tier of monthly performers among Nasdaq-100 constituents. Even more strikingly, it rose about 16% in a single day on September 18, while the BTC behind it also climbed back to around $80,000. MSTR now holds approximately 845,000 BTC, and the company is no longer a traditional software stock in any meaningful sense. It looks more like a “super Bitcoin proxy” with leverage from its capital structure.

I actually think MSTR’s strength in this rally is more worth examining than BTC’s own gains.

Because when market sentiment begins to recover, capital is often not satisfied with simply buying spot BTC. ETFs are one layer, while U.S.-listed crypto assets such as COIN and MSTR are another. Since MSTR’s balance sheet is highly tied to BTC, it naturally has greater price elasticity. So you see a familiar phenomenon: once BTC turns stronger, the most aggressive capital first looks for “BTC amplifiers.”

But there is also a risk here that cannot be ignored—the amplifier always works both ways.

MSTR’s nearly 48% rebound over the past month has been fierce, but over a one-year period, it has still experienced extremely deep drawdowns. In other words, buying MSTR now is not simply betting on a stock; it is simultaneously betting on the BTC price, market risk appetite, and Strategy’s own financing structure.

So what I am paying more attention to now is not “how much further MSTR can rise,” but whether BTC can truly hold above $80,000. If $80,000 is merely a short-lived sentiment-driven rebound, high-beta assets are usually the first to reverse; but if $80,000 turns from resistance back into support, MSTR’s strength in this rally could be a barometer showing that market risk appetite is returning to crypto assets.

On the Mid-Autumn Festival, we look at the moon, but trading still requires watching the trend. 😂

MSTR’s leverage is truly intense: when BTC rises 10%, it can gain 20%, and the downside is just as dramatic.

If I had to choose between Coinbase and MSTR, I still think COIN’s business is more stable.

How many people sold at a loss when MSTR was cut in half last year? Think carefully before chasing in now.

I’m choosing ETFs; I can’t handle high-beta plays.

Actually, MSTR’s financing structure is quite delicate. How long can the cycle of issuing debt to buy crypto last?

If $80k can’t hold now, MSTR will probably dump first.
