According to informed technology industry executives, there are significant disagreements within Trump's team over AI regulation.
One group is concerned about the rapid progress of AI models and the associated cybersecurity threats, while the other, led by Sacks, insists on minimizing regulation. This internal tension is leading to frequent shifts in the White House's position on AI and making it difficult for the market to predict further actions.
Adam Kovacevich, head of the Chamber of Progress industry association, stated bluntly:
