Nasdaq rebounds strongly—why is MSTR particularly favored by capital?

One of the key phrases in the recent U.S. stock market has been “risk appetite recovery.” Previously, tech stocks came under pressure due to rising oil prices, U.S. Treasury yields breaking above 5%, and concerns about AI; but on September 17, U.S. stocks staged a clear rebound, with the Nasdaq rising about 1.7% and tech stocks such as Nvidia and AMD strengthening again.
In this market environment, MSTR naturally becomes a high-beta asset that attracts capital.
The reason is simple: it combines the trading characteristics of U.S. tech assets with massive BTC exposure. Data most recently disclosed by Strategy shows that the company holds 845,050 BTC, with a cumulative purchase cost of approximately $63.73 billion.
This means that when investors buy MSTR, they are effectively trading several variables at once: the BTC price, the company’s net asset value, risk appetite in the stock market, and the valuation premium that the market assigns to Strategy.
That is precisely where MSTR’s appeal and risk come from. A rise in BTC could lead the market to raise its expectations for MSTR again; but if BTC suddenly pulls back, MSTR could also experience greater price volatility due to its high-beta characteristics.
Especially with interest rates still high and U.S. Treasury yields elevated, capital will not focus solely on the narrative; it will also recalculate financing costs and asset valuations.
Therefore, instead of simply discussing “how much further MSTR can rise,” it is better to focus on a more practical question:
Can BTC stabilize in the coming period, while MSTR’s own valuation premium remains intact?
These two variables may be the key to MSTR’s subsequent performance. #Gate广场中秋团圆局 + #MSTR领涨纳指100
