Japan's 25-basis-point rate hike has been implemented, but Bitcoin has instead climbed to around 77777.

My 63540 long from yesterday had a stop-loss set before I went to bed—I wanted to sleep soundly, but when I woke up, I found it had actually been triggered. Looking at the current price, it feels pretty bad 😂
It was still grinding sideways this morning, but started moving up once the news came out. This rate hike was already expected. My understanding is that everyone had been bracing for it, and once the news was actually announced without any bigger surprise, the market instead breathed a sigh of relief.
So sometimes, just looking at whether news is bullish or bearish really isn't enough—you have to see how the market reacts. At least this time, the market didn't get smashed lower following the rate hike; instead, it pushed the price up.
I'm planning to wait a little longer and see if it can pull back so I can find an entry for a long. I just got stopped out of a position, and chasing now feels a bit uncomfortable—if an opportunity comes, I'll take it!!!

Japan’s 25-basis-point rate hike is now in effect, but Bitcoin instead climbed to around 77777.
My 63540 long from yesterday had a stop-loss set before I went to bed, thinking I’d sleep soundly, but when I woke up and checked, it had actually been triggered. Looking at the current price, it’s honestly a bit painful😂
It was still dithering this morning, but started moving upward once the news came out. This rate hike was already within expectations. My understanding is that everyone had been bracing for it, and once the news actually landed without any bigger surprises, the market instead breathed a sigh of relief.
So sometimes, just looking at whether news is bullish or bearish really isn’t enough; you have to see how the market reacts. At least this time, it didn’t dump along with the rate hike—instead, it pushed the price higher.
I’m planning to wait a bit longer and see whether it can pull back to find an entry for a long. I just got stopped out of one position, so chasing it directly now feels a bit painful. I’ll take it if an opportunity comes!!!
