Bitcoin Spot ETFs See $159M Net Inflows Yesterday, BlackRock's IBIT Leads With $184M
U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds recorded approximately $159 million in net inflows on September 17, 2026, reversing a brief period of outflows and signaling renewed institutional interest in the cryptocurrency. BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) led the category with $184 million in net inflows, more than offsetting redemptions from other products, while Fidelity's FBTC and other funds saw modest outflows. The inflows came as Bitcoin edged up 0.65% and BlackRock (BLK) shares rose 1.62%. The positive flow data suggests that institutional investors are returning to the market after a period of caution ahead of the Fed's rate decision, and that the ETF structure remains the preferred vehicle for gaining exposure to Bitcoin. The $159 million inflow represents a significant turnaround from the $450.4 million outflow recorded on September 15, which was the largest single-day redemption in three months. For content creators, this is a story about the resilience of institutional demand for Bitcoin and the growing role of ETFs in shaping the cryptocurrency's price dynamics. As the market matures, ETF flows are likely to become an increasingly important indicator of institutional sentiment.
