Arc Ecosystem Hot Tokens See Increased Volatility: ARGUS Down 40%, LONG Down 70%, COOL Down 75% — Is Arc's Momentum Dead?
Three days into the Arc mainnet rollout, the numbers have split in two. Arc Network, Circle's stablecoin-focused Layer-1, printed roughly USD 72.6 million in 24-hour DEX volume across about 574,000 transactions. In the same window, ARGUS fell more than 40% in 12 hours, LONG more than 70%, and COOL more than 75%. Same chain, same day, opposite directions.
Here is the part screenshots leave out. ARGUS, the first project on ArgusPad, moved from a USD 2.8 million market cap to USD 36 million around launch — a move that built the top, and the wave of profit-taking right after it built the drop.
Three numbers explain most of it:
1. Liquidity is thin. Market caps: ARGUS USD 19.4M, TOLLY USD 6.2M, LONG USD 1.9M, COOL USD 1.5M, ARCAT USD 886K, and most pairs trade under a million dollars a day.
2. Demand has not left. ARGUS/USDC is still the network's top pair at USD 15.1 million in 24 hours, and 5,300 new liquidity pools were added in a single day.
3. Ownership is opaque. When it is unclear who holds what, a single whale sell can move a USD 1.5 million market cap by 75%.
My read: this is not Arc failing — this is Arc's first price discovery, and it hurts because early-chain math always hurts. Momentum on a new chain is rented, never owned. The real test is whether that USD 72.6 million in daily volume is still there a week from now, without a viral launch story to lean on.

The story is familiar. ARGUS, the first project on ArgusPad, rocketed from a USD 2.8 million market cap to USD 36 million at mainnet launch; one trader turned USD 1,200 into 302x. "Early buyers win" worked again — and then the page turned.
Arc Explorer data says interest has not faded: 57,400 transactions in 24 hours, 9,845 active liquidity pools, and 5,300 new pools added in a single day. So why did prices drop so hard? Three signals:
1. Thin liquidity. ARGUS sits at a USD 19.4 million market cap, TOLLY USD 6.2 million, LONG USD 1.9 million, COOL USD 1.5 million, ARCAT USD 886 thousand. Most of them trade under one million dollars a day.
2. Profit-taking. ARGUS/USDC is still the network's most-traded pair: USD 15.1 million in 24 hours.
3. An opacity gap. Holder distribution is unclear, so a single whale sale moves an order book this thin out of proportion.
The pattern is always the same. First hype, then the shakeout, and finally liquidity. The real test for Arc is whether the USD 72 million in volume actually sticks.
