1226 short $ZEC got squeezed to 1388! ETF and upgrade double whammy—Gongming teaches you how to survive

I understand that suffocating feeling of watching your short positions get pierced one bullish candle at a time. But this time, it really isn't your fault—Grayscale's ZEC ETF absorbed $463 million in two weeks, the NU7 upgrade vote passed with 99.9% approval, and 45 million shorts were forcibly liquidated, with these three forces pushing the price all the way up to 1388.
The current price is 1378, leaving you trapped 150 points underwater. RSI has surged to 80.58, and the upper band at 1234 was left far behind. The overbought signal is obvious, but ETF buying is still ongoing, so there may be more short-term aftershocks.

Exit plan:

For heavily invested positions: Don't act out of frustration. Reduce your position decisively if the rebound reaches 1400-1420, and widen your liquidation buffer first. If the price breaks above the upper band, you must exit.

For smaller positions: Hold steady and don't make random moves. Wait for a pullback to the 1300-1320 support zone, reduce by 1/3, then buy back above 1350 on the rebound. Execute two rounds of selling high and buying low to significantly lower your cost.

For those with limited funds: Wait for a pullback to 1250-1280 and add to your shorts after stability is confirmed. Close the added short portion above 1320 on a rebound to lower your average price.

ETF funds won't keep rushing in forever, and the upgrade boost has largely been priced in. Once the short-squeeze funds withdraw, the pullback will be your opportunity.
