The U.S. House of Representatives is considering bills today related to crypto taxation and a strategic Bitcoin reserve.

Mars Finance reported that on September 16, crypto reporter Eleanor Terrett said that although the CLARITY Act has been blocked in the U.S. Senate, the House of Representatives will continue advancing several cryptocurrency-related bills today. At 10 a.m. Eastern Time, the House Ways and Means Committee will consider and amend a crypto tax bill. Meanwhile, the House Financial Services Committee will also begin considering several bills, including the House Strategic Bitcoin Reserve Act introduced by Representative Nick Begich earlier this year.

The tax and financial committees are meeting simultaneously at 10; Capitol Hill is unusually crypto-heavy today.

If the tax bill passes, next year's tax filing season will be another headache.

Nick Begich has been pushing this reserve bill for so long, and it has finally made it onto the agenda.

The House is still moving forward; at least it hasn’t completely fallen apart.

The Senate is holding up CLARITY, while the House is working on taxes—each side is doing its own thing.
