The AI investment story is still attracting serious attention, with Leopold Aschenbrenner and his fund, Situational Awareness LP, remaining closely watched by the market.
What’s interesting is that the fund’s positioning has not simply been a straightforward bet on every AI stock. Earlier filings showed major exposure to AI infrastructure while also using options to hedge semiconductor-related risks.
That suggests a more nuanced view: strong confidence in the long-term growth of AI, but also awareness that some parts of the sector can become expensive and extremely volatile.
The bigger theme is hard to ignore. AI infrastructure, data centers, computing power and energy are becoming increasingly important as companies continue investing heavily in artificial intelligence.
For investors and market watchers, the key question isn't just whether AI will grow. It’s which parts of the AI ecosystem will capture the most value over the next few years.
Aschenbrenner’s moves are interesting to follow because they offer one perspective on that question, but his portfolio also shows why even strong AI believers manage risk carefully.
The AI trade is far from boring, and the next round of positioning could be just as important as the last.
