Bitcoin Outflows, XRP Inflows. Is Money Rotating?
At first glance, the numbers look like a rotation.
Bitcoin ETFs have seen meaningful outflows, while XRP ETFs are still attracting fresh inflows.
But I wouldn’t call it a clear rotation yet.
From Sept 8 to Sept 10, Bitcoin ETFs saw roughly $450M in net outflows. On Sept 10 alone, the outflow was around $282.6M.
XRP ETFs, meanwhile, recorded about $5.1M of inflows on Sept 10 and $12.3M on Sept 9.
The difference in scale is important.
Bitcoin ETF assets are around $97.5B, while XRP ETF assets are closer to $1.5B.
So what are we actually seeing?
More likely, a divergence in flows rather than a confirmed shift from Bitcoin into XRP.
For a real rotation, I’d want to see:
❥ Persistent Bitcoin outflows
❥ Much larger XRP inflows
❥ XRP’s share of total ETF assets increasing
❥ Stronger price and volume confirmation
❥ Evidence that the same capital is reducing Bitcoin exposure while increasing XRP exposure
One more thing matters here.
ETF inflows do not automatically mean price goes up. XRP has continued receiving inflows even while its price has remained under pressure.
For now, I’d describe the data as different demand patterns, not confirmed institutional rotation.
The next few weeks should tell us much more.
