#CandyDrop1BTCForOldUsers is a Gate.io (Gate.com) loyalty promotion currently running for returning/old users.
Key details
Reward pool: 1 BTC shared among eligible participants (via “Candy” tokens). Individual max is often listed around 0.001 BTC (roughly $80 at current ~$79k–$80k BTC prices). Some related posts mention broader rewards including other tokens with higher per-user caps in different layers.
Who can join: Users who registered before approximately August 24, 2026, 16:00 UTC (or August 25, 00:00 UTC+8 — check the exact cutoff on the official page). New accounts after the cutoff are excluded.
Requirement: Very low barrier — complete ≥ 1 USDT in futures/contract trading volume on any token (opening + closing volume both count). One candy is awarded per qualifying user.
Event period: August 25, 2026 (~10:00 UTC) to September 8, 2026 (~10:00 UTC).
How it works: Join via the official CandyDrop page, complete the small futures trade, claim your candy, and share the 1 BTC pool proportionally. Rewards are typically distributed after the event (within ~14 working days in some descriptions), subject to KYC/verification and anti-abuse rules (no multi-accounts, wash trading, etc.).

The campaign is designed to reactivate older users with a minimal trading requirement rather than high-volume targets. Gate has highlighted stronger retention and volume from longer-tenured accounts as the motivation.
Important notes:
Always verify eligibility, exact rules, and the current status directly on Gate’s official site or app. Trading (even small futures volume) involves risk. This is a promotional event summary only — not financial advice. Confirm everything yourself before participating.
