Look at today's news:
🇺🇸 U.S. Bitcoin holders have reached 49.6 million, far above the reported 28.8 million gold holders.
₿ Michael Saylor argues that Bitcoin's fundamental breakthrough is its ability to convert economic energy into a digital form and secure it.
💵 Meanwhile, the U.S. Treasury is increasing Treasury buybacks, with analysts suggesting this could help avoid an excessive tightening of financial conditions that could hurt AI investment and the broader economy.
Three different stories.
But I see one common thread:
Capital is becoming increasingly digital.
People are choosing digital assets.
Companies are building around AI and digital infrastructure.
And policymakers are increasingly focused on how financial conditions affect the next generation of technology.
This is why I don't think Bitcoin should be viewed only as a speculative asset.
The bigger question is whether we're witnessing a gradual transition in how the world stores value, moves capital and allocates economic resources.
That's a much bigger thesis than:
"Will BTC pump this week?"
And it's also why today's market needs to be watched beyond the price chart.
Are we still in the early stages of the digitalization of capital, or has the market already priced most of this future in?
