$VIRTUAL is consolidating within the symmetrical triangle pattern and is rebounding from the support trendline.

Currently, it is trading below the resistance trendline, keeping the price within the pattern.

A solid breakout above the triangle resistance could trigger a strong bullish rally.

A triangle’s end is often a signal of a trend reversal. With BTC up 20% in three days and market sentiment so heated, if it gets dragged down, this coin may plunge sharply.

This setup has support for a rebound, but the overhead resistance line is strong too. It may need to consolidate awhile, so trade the range short term.

Bouncing off support is good, but the volume looks manipulated. Low-volume rebounds like this are most deceptive—watch for a breakdown.

The triangle consolidation is nearing its end, but don’t rush to chase before a breakout with increased volume. Wait for the direction to emerge first.

If it can truly break above the resistance line, there may be considerable room for this rally to continue. However, it is still too early to say so—until the candlestick pattern plays out, it is all speculation.

Every time I see a symmetrical triangle, I get a headache. The odds of an upside or downside breakout are about 50/50, so I’d rather wait for a breakout and retest confirmation before entering—at least the stop-loss is easier to set.
