Better to open-source the SDK and let everyone develop their own control strategies; it’ll be easier to sell once the ecosystem takes off.

9,900?! That’s quite a price.

Robot hardware has become increasingly affordable, but seven-axis robotic arms priced at ¥9,900 are still rare. If its accuracy and repeatability match products in the ¥10,000–¥20,000 range, Unitree could reshape the research and education market and significantly reduce the total cost of service robots. The only concern is production capacity and delivery—we hope units ship as promised.

If robot vacuums are fitted with this arm in the future, picking up socks will be just around the corner.

With dual-arm collaboration and vision, it feels like robots could be taught to fold clothes. Looking forward to third-party support.

I’ll wait and see, then consider buying it after agency teardowns and durability tests.

Buy a pair and install them on the robot dog—then it can do a Thomas flare whenever it wants to act cute.
